Burgers Galore!!!! I love them year around, but it's grilling season! Even if I don't like to grill outside.

I decided to make some unique burgers, because Zombie Burger is always busy.  I hate waiting.  So I came up with a few different kinds.  Some are better than others. And I like to experiment with different flavors and textures.

First is a Better Homes and Garden's recipe.  Blue Cheese Burgers.  Because I can't eat blue cheese, I made them with Feta since they have a similar texture.

Ingredients:
1/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs
2 tbs Feta
2 tbs milk
2 tsp grain mustard (mine is homemade from a friend that makes the BEST)
2 tsp fresh chives, snipped
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp black pepper
4 buns

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.                           Separate into 4 mounds and make into patties

I actually baked mine to limit the grease.

I also made homemade steak fries.  Cut potatoes to desired size, coat with cooking oil and season of your choice.

Bake with burgers.  Fries are done when browned or your desired crispness.

Feta Burgers and Baked Fries, what could be better?

My favorite burger, a Greek Burger.  And a homemade sauce.

Ingredients:
1 lbs Ground Beef or Lamb
2 tbs Greek dressing
1/8 cup KalamataOlives, chopped.
1/8 cup slices peperoncini
1/2 small onion, minced
3 tbs Feta cheese crumbles
2-3 cloves garlic, minced
8 oz plain Greek yogurt
1/2 english cucumber, diced
1/4 minced onion
1-2 tbs chopped dill
4 buns/pita

Mix the first 7 ingredients together.

Form into 4 patties.  Fry until desired doneness.

Meanwhile, mix yogurt, cucumber, onion, and dill.  Set aside.

Top burgers with a little bit of yogurt mix and eat on bun or in a pita.

My next burger is a little crazy.  Indian burger

 1 lbs Ground Beef

1/4 cup chickpeas(garbanzo beans), chopped

For flavor, I added some Tinkka Masala to the burger mix.  About 2 tbs to 1/4 cup.

And some chutney for topping.

Remember the Tuperware burger press?  I got a set on Ebay.  Best purchase I have made!

I made too much, so I have 4 for the freezer.

I used my big grill pan to have the char taste and look. They did crumble a little, but were still good.
Topped with the Mango Chutney, spicy version of course.  With some cauliflower and some couscous.
Lastly, this is not a burger, but still very good.  It's a Muffalata(I got mine from Costco.)

I got some focaccia bread to start off with and the top off.

Then spread the Olive Muffalata Spread on bottom and top layer.

For the meat, you can use any combination.  I usually have some type of ham, turkey, beef, salami, or pastrami.  I just use 4 types.

3-4 types of sliced cheese.  I like cheddar and pepper cheese.  Swiss is also good.

Then stack on meat/cheese in layers.

I tried spreading the top with the Olive Muffalata Spread, but turns out it is easier to just spread on the bread itself.

I like to bake mine for about 10-15 minutes on 350 to warm it up.

Depending on the baking time, the cheese may or may not melt.  It's up to you.  slightly warm is good enough for me.
